AlamKulkul Boutique Resort

The location was fabulous. Felt safe and secure with security guards out the front controlling the traffic so you could safely walk across the road. The staff were all wonderful and made you feel like family with warm greetings wherever you went in the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good range of hot and cold food and nothing was too much trouble if you required anything. Loved our ground floor room right opposite the pool. Loved the music at night at the front bar. The bathroom and shower are very large and great hot water pressure. The small boutique hotel does have a few maintenance issues requiring attention but it didn’t impact our week’s long holiday.

This is a great hotel if you're staying around kuta. Staff was really nice, it's right across the beach and a lot of places to eat and drink around. Will definitely book again when we go back to Bali.

The warmth and hospitality of the staff at Alum KulKul was second to none. From the reception staff to the gardeners, everyone was friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and greeting and prepared to help in any way possible. The only things I would mention is that, as Westerners, I think we are accustomed to softer beds and so we all found the beds quite hard, however this was quickly fixed with a mattress topper when we mentioned it. The only complaint I would have is the exorbitant price they charged for doing the laundry. Definitely go to a street vendor for that as $55 for four days worth of clothing was extreme! Aside from that, I would highly recommend everything else about the resort. Room service and food were great too.

Resort is directly opposite beach on a one-way street making it easier to cross for pedestrians. Our room was at the rear and near the smaller pool, so less noise from passing guests or kids playing in large pool. All staff were very friendly and accommodating.
